Find businesses on Google Maps, collect reviews, and enrich the results with information from their websites. The scraping workflow helps select and combine Actors, then export the records as CSV for your CRM.
Give your coding agent workflows for collecting web data, building Apify Actors, and connecting Apify to your product.
Apify Agent Skills gives coding agents instructions for working with Apify, a platform that runs cloud programs called Actors. It covers finding and running existing scrapers, developing new Actors, adapting existing code for the platform, and building integrations that bring Apify into another product.
Describe your task in ordinary language, and the agent can select an applicable skill. The scraping workflow guides Actor selection, input configuration, execution, and CSV or JSON delivery. For manually guided Actor scaffolding, the repository also provides the /create-actor command in a separate command pack.
Running Actors uses your Apify account and consumes platform credits. Pricing varies by Actor.

Collect competitors’ pricing pages, customer reviews, job postings, and social posts for a research brief. The agent can use the scraping workflow to coordinate the extractions and prepare structured results for comparison.
When an existing Actor does not cover your source, develop one in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python. The development skill guides template selection, implementation, input and output schemas, local testing, and deployment.
Adapt a working script, library, or command-line tool to run as an Actor. The actorization skill covers the container, lifecycle handling, JSON inputs, stored outputs, testing, and deployment.
Build an integration for a workflow platform, coding agent, AI framework, or application backend. The integration skill guides resource design, authentication, run handling, cost controls, and error reporting.
Build, debug, test, and deploy Actors, including their input and output schemas.
Adapt existing scripts, projects, or CLI tools to run as Apify Actors.
Deprecated; use apify-actor-development to generate and update Actor output schemas.
Build Apify integrations for workflow platforms, AI agents, frameworks, and applications.
Select and run Apify scrapers, then deliver results in chat, CSV, or JSON.
/apify-agent-skills:create-actorStart guided Actor scaffolding through the separate apify-actor-commands pack.
In Claude Code, install both apify-actor-commands and apify-actor-development through the marketplace route in Install. The command uses the development skill for its implementation workflow.
Open the slash-command menu and select create-actor from apify-actor-commands. An Actor description is optional; describe its purpose, target websites or services, expected data or actions, and constraints, or answer the discovery questions.
The command is instructed to search for an existing Actor before building, confirm the requirements, and get your approval for the design before writing code. It then guides implementation and local testing, and asks whether to deploy.
See the create-actor workflow for its phases and completion criteria.
Add the marketplace in Claude Code and install its plugins, or use the Skills CLI for skill instructions alone. For scraping or Actor work after installation, use Node.js 20.6 or later and an authenticated Apify CLI. The scraper requires CLI 1.5.0 or later. Use browser sign-in, or supply APIFY_TOKEN through the environment in a headless setup; keep tokens out of source code and logs.
Add Apify’s marketplace, then install its plugins as whole packages. The steps below install the four active skill plugins and the Actor command pack. The deprecated apify-generate-output-schema plugin is also listed in the marketplace; use apify-actor-development for that work.
Add Apify’s marketplace inside a local Claude Code session.
/plugin marketplace add https://github.com/apify/agent-skillsOpen each active skill plugin below in the same session. For each one, review its details, choose user, project, or local scope, and complete the installation.
/plugin install apify-ultimate-scraper@apify-agent-skills/plugin install apify-actor-development@apify-agent-skills/plugin install apify-actorization@apify-agent-skills/plugin install apify-integration-development@apify-agent-skillsOpen the plugin browser, find apify-actor-commands in apify-agent-skills, and install it in the same scope as apify-actor-development.
/pluginRead each installation summary. If it reports that a reload is needed, close the panel to let Claude Code apply it. If the change remains pending, start a new Claude Code session.
Check the plugin browser’s Installed tab for the four skill plugins and apify-actor-commands. Then open the slash-command menu and look for their skills under the plugin names and create-actor under the command pack.
Use the Skills CLI to add skill instructions to Claude Code. It lets you select skills and choose project or global scope. This route installs skills only; it does not install the Actor command pack, hooks, or MCP servers.
Run the installer in a terminal. For project scope, start in your project folder.
npx skills add apify/agent-skillsSelect the active skills you need, choose Claude Code as the target, and choose project or global scope. Skip apify-generate-output-schema; its functionality is included in apify-actor-development.
Open a new Claude Code session in your project, then open the slash-command menu and look for the skill names you selected.
For the guided create-actor command, use the Claude Code plugins route.
