Overview
Omni agent skills bring analytics work into your coding assistant. They use the Omni CLI to inspect the definitions behind your data, run queries, build dashboards, and administer your Omni instance.
Describe a task in natural language and the relevant analytics skills activate automatically. For larger workflows, you can explicitly address the analyst, modeler, or admin agent. These agent skills cover modeling, content, and administration as well as querying; Omni’s MCP Server focuses on natural-language data queries.
Use Cases
Add a business definition
When a model needs a new dimension, measure, or relationship, ask the modeler to create or edit its YAML definitions.
Build a recurring report
Find an existing workbook or dashboard, or build a dashboard with the tiles, filters, and layout the report needs. The content builder also supports app content, which is in alpha.
Evaluate AI answers
Run test prompts, compare query results, and score AI query generation accuracy. Use the optimizer to improve model context, field selection, and sample queries.
Manage access and scheduled delivery
Ask the admin agent to manage users, groups, permissions, and schedules—for example, granting a team access to a dashboard or arranging a weekly PDF delivery.
Embed a dashboard in an application
Work on signed dashboard URLs, themes, and postMessage events when adding Omni analytics to an external application.
Components
The analytics skills activate from natural-language requests; agents support explicit delegation. The Snowflake, Databricks, and dbt conversion skills belong to the separately installed omni-integrations plugin.

Install the plugin in Claude Code through Install, then address your question to @omni-analyst. Include the measure and period you want to analyze, such as the top products by revenue this quarter.

Delegate a model change
Install the plugin in Claude Code through Install, then address your request to @omni-modeler. Identify the view and the definitions to add or change, such as customer lifetime value measures in a users view.
Install
Omni’s marketplace contains omni-analytics and omni-integrations. The Claude Code and Cursor methods install both plugins; the Skills CLI methods install skills only. To use the analytics skills, install the Omni CLI and authenticate for your Omni instance.

Add Omni’s marketplace inside your Claude Code session.

Open the omni-analytics installation panel in the same session. Choose the installation scope and confirm the install.

Check each installation summary. If it says the plugin is active, continue; if it requests a reload, close the panel to apply it. If the plugin remains pending, start a new Claude Code session.

Open the plugin manager and check the Installed tab for omni-analytics and omni-integrations. Type
/in your session and look for skills under both plugin names./plugin
This installs skills for GitHub Copilot CLI. It does not install plugin agents, Cursor rules, hooks, commands, or MCP servers.

From your project directory, run the installer with GitHub Copilot as the target and install the Omni skills you need. Installation uses the current project by default.

Start a new Copilot CLI session to load the installed skills. Open the skill list and check for the Omni skills you installed.
Installing omni-integrations uses Cursor’s team marketplace import, so this method needs access to Dashboard > Settings > Plugins > Import.

Install omni-analytics by entering this in Cursor’s Agent chat. This also installs the Cursor rule files.

In Cursor’s Dashboard, open Settings > Plugins > Import and import Omni’s repository. The marketplace lists omni-analytics and omni-integrations separately; install omni-integrations to add the conversion skills.

This installs skills for Codex. It does not install plugin agents, Cursor rules, hooks, commands, or MCP servers.

Check that the installed Omni skills appear in Codex’s skills picker in the CLI or IDE extension, or under Skills in the desktop app. Codex detects skill changes automatically; restart it if the new skills do not appear.
