It settles where to look before it looks.

Type a topic and it does not go looking for that word. It works out who and where matters first - the accounts, the forums, the channels, the repositories that belong to that subject - and searches those.

What it brings back:

  • the top threads on a subject, with their comments and vote counts
  • posts from X
  • the spoken words out of long videos, rather than their titles
  • short-video captions and view counts
  • the standing odds on anything still undecided
  • when the subject is a person, what they have actually shipped on GitHub this month

The same story found in three places arrives as one item instead of three, written up with the quotes and the links in place.

Four platforms answer untouched. The rest want keys.

Four of its sources answer with nothing configured: Reddit, Hacker News, Polymarket and GitHub. Everything past those waits on something you supply:

  • X reads a browser session you are already signed into, or a key
  • video transcripts want a download tool installed locally
  • TikTok, Instagram, Threads, Pinterest and video comments all ride on a single paid key, with ten thousand calls free before it costs anything
  • Perplexity and general web search each need a key of their own, and Perplexity stays switched off until asked for, so no bill arrives by surprise

When a brief comes back thinner than the topic deserves, the skill carries a health check that names the platforms it could not reach and the ones nobody ever configured. Run that before deciding the topic is quiet.

What a run leaves on your disk.

Every run writes to disk. The default home is a folder in your own Documents, and three things end up there:

  • a markdown file per run, named after the subject, with a suffix if you keep variations apart per client
  • a self-contained HTML version with no scripts in it, for pasting into a chat or an email
  • if you ask for it, a small local database, so the same subject can be re-run later and only the new findings reported

The keys stay on the machine and every platform is called straight from it, so each call a run makes is on your own account.

The single skill here, and the one decision it serves: you need to know what has lately been said about a name, a product or a business, and an ordinary web search hands back the pages that rank rather than the conversations that happened. It resolves the handles and communities tied to that name, reads them, and writes the result up with evidence attached. It also reports on itself, naming any platform it was unable to query.
