LABSCO SUMMARY
Four of the six are working bioinformatics tools. nextflow-development runs nf-core's rnaseq, sarek, and atacseq pipelines against local FASTQs or public GEO/SRA accessions, and needs Docker and Nextflow already installed. scvi-tools and single-cell-rna-qc both cover single-cell analysis — the deep-learning model family (scVI, scANVI, totalVI, PeakVI, MultiVI, DestVI, veloVI) for integration, batch correction, and reference mapping, and scanpy-style MAD-based quality-control filtering, respectively. instrument-data-to-allotrope converts raw lab-instrument exports — PDF, CSV, Excel, TXT — into the Allotrope Simple Model format that LIMS and data-lake systems expect, with auto-detection of the source instrument.
The other two are not analysis tools. clinical-trial-protocol-skill drafts clinical trial protocols for a device or drug and researches comparable trials, aimed at FDA submission documentation. scientific-problem-selection is a research-strategy framework, built on Fischbach and Walsh's 2024 Cell methodology, for pitching a project, evaluating its risk, or deciding whether a stuck project is worth continuing.

One of the six skills is undocumented. The README's own "Available Plugins" section and its install commands name only five skills — single-cell-rna-qc, instrument-data-to-allotrope, nextflow-development, scvi-tools, and scientific-problem-selection. clinical-trial-protocol-skill is a real, live skill in this repository, but it appears nowhere in the README; we found it only by reading the skill files directly.
What it costs to start. Of the six, four need something already installed or configured beyond the conversation itself, one runs through an MCP connection, and one runs on nothing more than the conversation. The wider marketplace this repository ships alongside these skills — MCP connectors to PubMed, BioRender, Synapse, Consensus, Cortellis, AdisInsight, and 10x Genomics Cloud — ranges from no account needed (PubMed) to a paid institutional subscription (Cortellis, AdisInsight), but none of that is a skill, so none of it is counted above.
