LABSCO SUMMARY
apify/awesome-skills is Apify's community-contributed companion repo, not the official one, and most of its skills need an Apify account and API token before they do anything.
Most of them chain Apify's own Actors into a workflow: ads-intelligence pulls competitor ad creatives across Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X; ai-search-visibility-tracker checks whether a brand gets cited in Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT Search, Perplexity, and similar; ecommerce scrapes pricing and reviews across 30+ retail platforms; booking-host-leads and verified-email-finder both build contact lists (from Booking.com hosts and from Maps/SERP results respectively); influencer-brand-collabs maps Instagram brand-creator partnerships; link-prospecting-outreach scores backlink prospects and drafts outreach email; and easy-competitive-intelligence builds full competitor battlecards. Another line item, apify-financial-services, is itself a bundle of three skills plus a command for company news, social listening, and European registry lookups. Most need a paid or free Apify account plus an API token (apify login or APIFY_TOKEN); a couple, including easy-competitive-intelligence and influencer-brand-collabs, say outright that they need the Apify CLI or Apify's own MCP server specifically.
This is for marketing, growth, and lead-gen teams already using or willing to sign up for Apify's Actor platform. Without an Apify account, essentially none of this package does anything for you.
Despite living under Apify's GitHub account, the README calls itself the "Companion to apify/agent-skills, the home of official Apify-maintained skills. This repo collects community contributions..." — and its own table credits each skill to a different named outside contributor.
Its skills badge reads "8" and its table lists 8 rows (one of which, apify-financial-services, is itself three skills). The list below includes at least two — apify-booking-host-leads and apify-x402-agentic-wallet — that don't appear in that table at all.
apify-x402-agentic-wallet pays per Actor run in USDC over the x402 protocol via a Coinbase "agentic wallet," pitched explicitly as needing no Apify account or API key — the one exception to the account-and-token requirement that covers the rest of the package.
WHAT'S INSIDE
Showing all 28 skills
People now ask ChatGPT and Google's AI for a recommendation instead of scrolling a results page; this watches whether your company gets named in those answers, and whose pages get quoted instead of yours.
Which Instagram creators a brand has paid to post for it, or which brands a creator has taken money from — read out of the advertising records Meta is required to publish.
Find the websites worth asking for a link to yours and get back a spreadsheet of them — strongest first, each with the email already written and the exact sentence the link would slot into.
Pulls Reddit posts, comment threads, user histories or whole communities into a table you can sort and read, after telling you roughly what the run will cost.
Anyone selling to hotels and holiday lets needs the owner's own email address, not the booking site's message box — this pulls a whole city's worth of them off Booking.com in one run.
Every week, a list of companies that look ready to buy what you sell — they are hiring for the right roles, have just raised money, or are posting about the problem you solve — gathered into one spreadsheet with a link to the evidence for each.
For a brand looking for creators to sponsor: YouTubers, TikTokers and Instagrammers in your niche and follower range, each with the contact email they published themselves, checked so you know whether it is likely to reach anyone.
Name a kind of business and a city — dentists in Berlin, say — and get a spreadsheet of them from Google Maps, with the owner's or manager's name, phone and email filled in wherever one can be found.
You hand over a spreadsheet of company websites and your own rules for a good prospect, written in plain words like “plus ten if they use Shopify”; you get the list back scored, the weak ones set aside, and named people with emails found at the rest.
A list of local businesses of one kind in one city, found on OpenStreetMap — the free, volunteer-drawn world map — instead of Google, each with the email off its own website checked to see whether it will reach anyone, plus phone and social accounts.
Every agency the review site Clutch lists for a service or a country — digital marketing, web development and so on — as one spreadsheet with each firm's website, rating, hourly rate and team size, instead of paging through the directory by hand.
Finds the email addresses behind a list of businesses and checks each one is still live before you ever write to it — the finding and the testing happen in one pass.
Many startups advertise their openings through a hiring service called Ashby; this gathers those job ads into tidy rows, salary included wherever the employer published one.
One spreadsheet of job ads gathered from LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor and the remote-work boards in a single pass, with a job posted on several sites merged into one row and anything in the wrong city set aside.
Job ads from twenty-odd sites, cleaned of repeats and likely fake “ghost” listings first, then turned into what you asked for: a picture of who is hiring and for how much, a spreadsheet, or a ranking of which jobs fit your résumé.
When a program that copies data off a website gets turned away or comes back empty, this finds out why before anyone spends money trying to get around it — and often the answer is a dead address, or a free official download of the same data.
On Apify, each ready-made scraping program is called an Actor; this writes a new one whose only job is to run several others in sequence — the results of one fed into the next, an optional AI step in between — under one spending limit.
So that a shopping assistant quotes today's price and stock instead of a guess, this wires it to live product pages from online shops — checked on the spot for one item, or refreshed on a schedule for a whole catalogue.
Apify's web-data tools normally want an account and a subscription; this pays for them from a crypto wallet instead — one small prepaid top-up, about a dollar, that the tools then run against.
Who is advertising what, and where, taken live from the public ad archives that Meta, Google, TikTok and LinkedIn keep — plus a best-effort look at promoted posts on X.
What a rival's app costs, how it is rated and what its users are complaining about, read straight off Apple's App Store and Google Play.
Clutch is a directory where agencies and software firms are rated by their clients; name the firms you already have in mind and each comes back as a filled-in record — hourly rate, team size, services, ratings.
Before you write a rival up for your own team, this reads their pricing pages, their customer reviews and their job ads as they stand today, and cites where every fact came from.
Ask what something costs, what reviewers made of it, or what is selling best right now, and the answer comes from the shops themselves — Amazon, eBay, Walmart and thirty-odd more.
A security report built from what is public today rather than from memory: known weaknesses in a piece of software, leaks or breach talk about a company's website, and what a named hacking group has been up to — every finding rated by severity and linked to its source.
Turns live flight searches — or flights plus hotels for a whole trip — into a recommendation you can act on, with each price marked as found or estimated and nothing booked on your behalf.
Searches the picture section of Yandex, Russia's biggest search engine, and returns links to the full-size images rather than thumbnails, along with the page each one sits on.
What comes up on Yandex — the search engine most of Russia uses — for a given query in a given city, captured as a table of results in rank order, with the ads and info boxes too if you want them.
Research, spy on, and analyze ads across Meta (Facebook & Instagram), Google (Ads Transparency Center + paid search results), TikTok (Ads Library + Creative Center), LinkedIn Ad Library, and X (Twitter — promoted tweets, best-effort) using Apify Actors. Use when user asks about competitor ads, ad library research, winning creatives, ad copy analysis, landing page audits from ads, cross-platform ad audits, brand transparency checks, or any task involving paid ad creatives, advertiser data, or ad targeting from public ad libraries.
Track whether a brand and its competitors get cited or mentioned across Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, ChatGPT Search, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot, and Google Gemini for a defined set of prompts, on a recurring schedule. Use when user asks to track AI visibility, monitor brand mentions in AI search, track ChatGPT citations, do AI search SEO tracking, GEO tracking (Generative Engine Optimization), AEO tracking (Answer Engine Optimization), monitor Perplexity citations, track AI Overviews mentions, see if their brand shows up in AI search, discover which prompts competitors rank for in AI search, find citation opportunities, or audit a website for AI visibility readiness.
Pull structured Apple App Store and Google Play data — app metadata, price, rating, the 1–5★ ratings histogram, version, developer, and reviews — and watch it for changes over time. Use when the user asks to look up an iOS or Android app by App ID, bundle ID, package name or app name, compare a set of competitor apps across both stores, monitor a competitor's price or rating for changes, track when an app ships a new version, scrape App Store or Google Play reviews, resolve a bundle ID to a full app record, check an app's rating across multiple country storefronts, build an ASO or app-market dataset, or set up a recurring app-store watch on an app's price, rating and version.
"Scrape Ashby jobs or discover companies using Ashby with the Apify Ashby Job Board API Actor (johnvc/ashby-job-board-scraper). Job mode returns live job rows with title, company, location, remote and employment fields, publish date, apply URL, employer-published salary columns, equity flag, and Markdown descriptions.
Diagnose and recover a scrape that is blocked, throttled, or served empty or partial content, in cost order, before paying for a heavier Actor. Use when a run returns 0 items, when a site answers 403, 429 or a challenge page, when the HTML comes back empty or truncated, when a request fails with no response at all, when the page shows data in a browser that the Actor does not see, or when a scraper that worked yesterday suddenly returns nothing.
Find and enrich B2B leads from Booking.com - hotels, apartments, and vacation rentals - and pull each host's or property manager's real contact details (email, phone, company name, registration number). Use when the user says things like "get emails from Booking.com", "Booking.com lead generation", "find tour operator / property manager / host contacts", "scrape accommodation owner emails", or "build a list of Booking hosts".
Set up a recurring buying-signal detection pipeline that finds companies showing buying intent across three signal types — job postings (hiring for the persona), fundraising events (recent raises), and LinkedIn content (pain-point posts, hiring announcements) — then aggregates results into a deduplicated leads.csv with the signal source, evidence URL, and detection timestamp per row. Split-schedule architecture — Apify Actor Tasks pull raw data on their own cadence, a Claude-side aggregation task normalizes, deduplicates against a blacklist, and appends new leads with a weekly-idempotent guard.
"Pull structured B2B company data from Clutch.co with the Clutch.co Agency API Actor (johnvc/clutch-agency-api). Give it company profile URLs or bare slugs and get one JSON record per company: name, website, rating, review_count, verification badges, min_project_size, hourly_rate, employees, founded_year, headquarters and every office location, languages, service_lines and focus_areas with percentages, industries, clients, cost_rating, most_common_project_size, pricing_by_service, and published packages.
Find creators and their published contact emails in one run. Routes "find YouTube channels about <niche> with emails", "get the email for these TikTok / Instagram handles", "build a micro-influencer outreach list", "creator email finder", "influencer contact list for a sponsorship campaign" and "alert me when new creators appear in <niche>" to a single Actor that discovers YouTube channels by keyword, optionally hops to the Instagram and TikTok profiles those channels link, enriches user-supplied TikTok and Instagram handles, crawls each creator's linked site for an email, MX-verifies it and scores every row 0-100 in one 51-column schema.
This skill should be used when the user asks to "analyze a competitor", "compare pricing", "competitive landscape", "market research", "what do customers think", "review intelligence", "hiring signals", "content strategy", "SEO battle", "build a battlecard", "competitive analysis", "who are the players", "who competes with", "market intelligence", "competitive positioning", "deep dive on a company", "board prep", "SWOT analysis", "how does [X] compare to [Y]", or mentions competitor analysis, pricing comparison, customer sentiment, or market landscape research. Requires Apify CLI or Apify MCP server.
Scrape e-commerce data for pricing, reviews, bestsellers, and seller discovery across 30+ platforms including Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Shopify, WooCommerce, and more. Use when user asks about product prices, competitor analysis, store scraping, tech stack detection, food delivery, real estate, or marketplace intelligence.
Build a local-business lead database from Google Maps in one Apify pipeline: search by target audience + geography, enrich each place with company contacts from its website, leads enrichment (names, emails, phones, LinkedIn), Instagram + Facebook profiles, and optionally reviews for lead scoring. For places with no named contacts, escalate to apify/ai-web-scraper to pull owner / decision-maker names from the business website.
Discover Instagram brand–creator partnerships by chaining Apify Actors. Use when the user asks who collabs with a brand, which brands a creator has done paid posts for, wants to audit an influencer's branded-content history, or wants to scope a brand's sponsorship roster.
Pull job postings from many boards in one run and prepare one validated, deduplicated table. Routes "find jobs / scrape job postings / build a job list / monitor new jobs / track a company's careers page" requests to a multi-board job scraper (LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, The Muse plus keyless boards) or a remote-only aggregator (RemoteOK, We Work Remotely, Remotive, Jobicy, Himalayas, HN Who is hiring), with output-locality checks, per-board raw/qualified/deduplicated counts, only-new-jobs monitoring, per-board caps and honest cost estimates.
Extract clean, de-noised job-posting data from LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, and 20+ boards in one Apify run — deduplicated across boards, with likely ghost jobs and reposts flagged (heuristic, not verified) and fields normalized — then analyze it (deduped hiring demand, in-demand skills, coverage-labeled salary distribution), export it (CSV / JSON / Apify dataset) for dashboards and BI, or rank it against a résumé. Use when the user asks to scrape job postings, build a job dataset, analyze hiring demand or in-demand skills or salary ranges for a role or market, export job data for a dashboard or spreadsheet, dedupe job listings across boards, flag or filter out likely ghost jobs, or rank jobs by fit to a résumé.
Score and enrich a CSV of B2B leads using Apify Actors. Takes a CSV with company URLs, free-text scoring rules, and an enrichment preference; runs BuiltWith (tech stack), Website Content Crawler (content classification), and Contact Info Scraper (company metadata) for scoring; enriches with either department-specific contacts (Contact Info Scraper + Bulk Email Finder fallback) or copywriter discovery (Google Search Scraper → AI Web Scraper → Bulk Email Finder).
Find sites ranking for target keywords, score every prospect with Ahrefs domain authority and page-level traffic, identify the strongest pitch angle per row ("links to competitor", "mentions brand without linking", "top-3 SERP", "resource page", "outdated content"), generate brand-voice-matched outreach emails using an outreach-type-aware template (unlinked-mention claim, competitor-link replacement, resource-page inclusion, outdated-content replacement, topical niche-edit), and propose a concrete in-article link placement as three artifacts — the verbatim source sentence, the same sentence rewritten with the link spliced in, or a fully-drafted new insertion if no natural fit exists. Use when user asks to find link building opportunities, prospect link partners, recover unlinked brand mentions, replace competitor links, build a tiered outreach list, or run cold email outreach for SEO link building.
Build a local-business lead list without scraping Google Maps. Routes "find dentists / plumbers / salons / restaurants in <city> with emails", "business email finder for <category> in <city>", "web-design prospects with no website or a weak one", "enrich my list of business websites with verified emails", "leads within 5 km of an address" and "alert me when new businesses appear" to an OpenStreetMap-based Actor that crawls each business's own website and returns one 73-column row per business with an MX-verified email, phone, social profiles, website platform and a 0-100 lead score.
"Build a marketing agency database from Clutch.co with the Clutch.co Agency API Actor (johnvc/clutch-agency-api). Point it at any Clutch directory or category or location URL and get one JSON row per listed agency: name, profile_url, website, rating, review_count, verification, min_project_size, hourly_rate, employees, location, and service_lines.
Build TypeScript Apify orchestrator Actors — coordinate a sequence of sub-Actors (optionally with an LLM step) using the apify-orchestrator library. Use when creating a new orchestrator Actor, chaining Apify Actors together, adding an OpenRouter LLM step between Actors, or scaffolding parent-Actor workflows that call other Actors.
Use this skill when the user asks to "find CVEs for", "check if my domain is breached", "threat intel on", "OSINT on", "security news about", "attack surface of", "is this IP malicious", "what vulnerabilities affect", "security advisory for", "monitor threats for", "threat actor research", "recent exploits for", "data breach check", "security posture of", "what's the threat landscape for", "investigate [domain/IP/software]", "is [company] exposed", or any request involving vulnerability research, breach detection, threat actor profiling, or security intelligence. Requires Apify CLI or Apify MCP server.
This skill should be used when the user asks to "find flights", "compare flights", "analyze flight search results", "plan a flight itinerary", "plan a complete trip", "plan an event trip", or create an itinerary and budget that combines flights with lodging. It turns supplied or live Apify travel results into a defensible recommendation while preserving unresolved fare scope.
Wire an AI agent to live e-commerce product data using Apify's E-commerce Scraping Tool over MCP, either as runtime tool calls or as a scheduled refresh into a vector store. Trigger on "give my agent live product data", "my agent quotes stale prices", "connect Apify MCP to Claude or Cursor or n8n", "add product data to my RAG pipeline", "keep my product catalog fresh", "set up a shopping agent", or any request to stop an agent answering product questions from training data.
Scrape Reddit with the harshmaur/reddit-scraper Apify Actor: keyword search across all of Reddit or inside one subreddit, full subreddit listings, post permalinks with complete comment threads, user profiles and community info, with date-range filters and optional delivery of results into Slack, Notion, Google Sheets or Airtable through Apify MCP connectors. Use when the user says "monitor my brand on Reddit", "find leads on Reddit", "what is Reddit saying about X", "scrape r/<subreddit>", "pull all comments from this Reddit thread", "Reddit posts about X since <date>", "track competitor mentions on Reddit", "Reddit sentiment for X" (labels are a paid add-on; otherwise quote the body), "build a Reddit dataset", "scrape a Reddit user's history", or any request for Reddit posts, comments, subreddits or users as structured data.
Builds a list of verified business emails from Google Maps, Google SERPs, or a user-supplied URL list. Verification happens inside the same Apify run — no third-party verifier needed.
Discover, pay for, and run any Apify Actor by paying USDC on Base over the x402 protocol with a Coinbase Agentic Wallet (awal) — no Apify account or API key. You buy one small, spend-capped prepaid Apify token, then run as many Actors as the request needs with it.
Search the Yandex Images vertical and get full-size image URLs as structured JSON with the Apify Yandex Search Scraper Actor (johnvc/Scrape-Yandex). A yandex image search api for agents and pipelines.
Get structured Yandex search results without an official API key using the Apify Yandex Search Scraper Actor (johnvc/Scrape-Yandex). One query returns the full SERP as JSON, with organic results (position, title, link, displayed_link, snippet), and optional ads, knowledge graph, inline images, and inline videos, targeted by Yandex domain, language, and any of 123,000 plus lr region IDs.
