automattic studio
COMMUNITYLABSCO SUMMARY
Most of the set belongs to a single pipeline, run through the /liberate or /migrate commands: diagnose and extract a source site, build a design-foundation from what was captured, generate a matching block theme (creating-themes, generating-patterns, replicate-with-blocks, or the non-block replicate-theme path), import the content, then run a visual-QA loop — design-qa, match-page, match-section, rebuild-section, visual-polish — that compares source and rebuilt screenshots section by section until they match. Around that sit skills for ordinary hand-built WordPress work (creating-blocks, editing-blocks, editing-themes, block-content, compose-page-blocks) and a handful of site-operations skills that aren't about building at all: need-for-speed (a performance audit), rank-me-up (an SEO audit), taxonomist (category cleanup), hosting-plans-helper (WordPress.com plan and pricing lookups), and wpcom-remote-management (remote site administration).
This is for people already running WordPress Studio, the local WordPress desktop app, either cloning an existing site into WordPress or doing day-to-day block-theme development inside it. It has essentially nothing for anyone outside that app — the CLI, sync, and preview-site skills all assume Studio is installed, and several of the pipeline skills call Studio's own local APIs directly rather than anything portable.
READ THE FULL ANALYSIS
Not all 35 are things you run yourself. design-qa, match-section, and rebuild-section say so in their own descriptions — they are steps in the liberate/replicate pipeline, dispatched as subagents by an orchestrating skill, and are explicitly marked not user-invocable. Treat the usable command surface as smaller than the skill count suggests.
What it takes to start. By our dependency labels, fourteen of the skills run with nothing extra configured, eleven need the Studio desktop app or its CLI installed locally, five talk to an MCP service, three are unverified, and two — the WordPress.com plan lookup and the remote-management skill — need a stored account credential.

WHAT'S INSIDE
13 showing · 13 totalNothing else to set up — install it and go.
annotate
You click elements on your live WordPress site to leave feedback, and the agent reads the annotations and applies the changes for you.
block-content
Stops a WordPress page being written as raw HTML that nobody can edit afterwards — it lays the page out in the editor's own blocks, using the theme's colours and spacing instead of hand-written styles.
hosting-plans-helper
Answers WordPress.com pricing questions — what each plan costs and what it unlocks — by looking up today's figures instead of quoting a half-remembered price.
liberate
Copies an existing website into WordPress, pages, images and shop products included. You pick whether the result is easy to edit afterwards or as faithful to the original as possible.
need-for-speed
Measures how fast a WordPress site loads and what is weighing it down — images, scripts, stylesheets — then lists the fixes worth making first.
plugin-recommendations
Picks and sets up the add-on a WordPress site needs for a feature it can't manage on its own, and wires it in as blocks people can still edit.
rank-me-up
Checks a WordPress site for the things keeping it out of search results, and puts the fixes in the order that will help most.
site-spec
A short interview before a new site gets built — how it should be laid out, how it should look, and what it needs to be able to do — written up as the plan everything after it follows.
studio-cli
Studio keeps WordPress sites running on your own computer; this is the typed-command way to drive it instead of clicking around the app.
taxonomist
A blog that has run for years ends up with overlapping and half-empty categories — this reads every post and works out the tidier set they should have been in all along.
visual-design
Settles what a site will look like before any of it is built — the colours, the fonts, and one memorable idea about how the page itself is arranged.
visual-polish
The page in the browser never quite matches the code you wrote — this goes through what actually rendered, section by section, lists every flaw first and only then fixes them.
wpcom-remote-management
Makes changes to a WordPress.com site that is already live on the internet, rather than to a copy running on your own computer.
