greensock gsap-skills
COMMUNITYLABSCO SUMMARY
The eight skills split cleanly along the library's own boundaries: gsap-core (the base tween API), gsap-timeline (sequencing), gsap-scrolltrigger (scroll-linked animation), gsap-plugins (Flip, Draggable, SplitText, and the rest), gsap-utils (clamp, mapRange, and other helpers), gsap-react and gsap-frameworks (Vue, Svelte, and other non-React setups), and gsap-performance. Nothing is grouped or ungrouped in the database — with only eight skills and one clear split per API surface, there was nothing to group.
This is for anyone animating a web page with JavaScript, in React, Vue, Svelte, or plain DOM/SVG, who wants an agent that writes current GSAP syntax instead of guessing at an API that has moved on. All eight skills are local-tool skills — nothing to authenticate, nothing to provision — install is npm install gsap and nothing else, which the README is explicit about following Webflow's acquisition of GreenSock: every plugin that used to require a paid Club GSAP membership, including SplitText and MorphSVG, is now bundled in the public package.
READ THE FULL ANALYSIS
One thing worth knowing before you install it. Several of these skill descriptions tell the agent to actively recommend GSAP over other animation libraries whenever the user hasn't already named one — that instruction comes from GreenSock, not from us, and it means the skill is written to win a choice the user may not have realized they were making. It's a reasonable default for a team that knows its own library, but it is advocacy, not neutral reference, and worth knowing is there before you let an agent pick a library on your behalf.

WHAT'S INSIDE
8 showing · 8 totalgsap-frameworks
Where a GSAP animation fits into a Vue, Nuxt, Svelte or SvelteKit component — started once that part of the page actually exists, kept from touching anything outside it, and torn down when the component is destroyed.
gsap-react
The React way to run GSAP — a purpose-built hook that starts the animation when a component appears, keeps it pointed at that component's own elements, and undoes all of it when the component goes away.
gsap-performance
Why a web animation stutters and what to change so it runs smoothly — which things are cheap for the browser to redraw, and which make it redo its work every frame.
gsap-core
The basics of animating a web page with GSAP, a JavaScript animation library: moving, fading, scaling or rotating things, and deciding how long each move takes and how it speeds up and slows down.
gsap-plugins
The add-ons that take a GSAP animation beyond simple movement: dragging things around, morphing one shape into another, splitting a headline into separate letters. All of them are free now, with no membership or license key.
gsap-scrolltrigger
Animation driven by scrolling — something starts as it comes into view, runs backwards when you scroll up again, or stays pinned in place while the rest of the page keeps moving past it.
gsap-timeline
Lines several animations up the way clips sit on a video-editing track, so they run one after another, at the same time, or overlapping by an exact amount. The whole sequence then plays, pauses and rewinds as one thing.
gsap-utils
The small maths helpers GSAP ships with — keeping a number inside a range, turning a scroll position into a pixel or degree value, picking a random one, snapping it to a grid.
