The package is a single npm module, @upstash/qstash, and the lone skill documents both directions of the traffic it carries. Client.publishJSON sends a message to a destination URL, a named URL group, or directly to an LLM provider such as OpenAI, with QStash queuing and retrying delivery at least once; Receiver.verify checks the Upstash-Signature header on the way back into your own handler, which the README warns some platforms (Vercel, Netlify) deliver lowercased.

This is for someone already building on Upstash who wants an agent to write the publish and receive code correctly on the first pass, not someone deciding whether to adopt QStash — the skill assumes the account, the token, and the choice of QStash are already made. A QSTASH_DEV=true local mode does exist and skips the token entirely, so a reader can exercise the SDK once before ever opening the console.

What it costs to start. Every real call needs a QSTASH_TOKEN from the Upstash console; the skill's own dependency label is account_key for exactly that reason, and nothing here reaches a live destination without it.

One thing worth knowing before installing. The SDK reports telemetry by default — SDK version, platform, and runtime version — unless you set UPSTASH_DISABLE_TELEMETRY or pass enableTelemetry: false. The README says so plainly, but it ships opt-out, not opt-in.

Checked from the SDK's own README and its one skill description; qstash-js carries no other skills to weigh it against.
