That combined skill, upstash, is the one to reach for when a project touches several Upstash products at once — Redis, Ratelimit, QStash, Workflow, Vector, Search, Box, Blob, and the CLI all in one file. The other ten are single-product SDK skills: Redis caching and sessions, rate limiting, QStash messaging and scheduling, durable Workflow functions, Vector search, full-text Search, a JavaScript and a separate Python skill for Box's sandboxed containers, a CLI skill for scripting outside any MCP session, and upstash-redis-start, which provisions a temporary Redis database with a single POST request and no account at all.
This is for a team already building on Vercel, Cloudflare Workers, or another serverless runtime with Upstash as the backing store, who wants their coding agent to reach for the right SDK skill by name instead of the combined one every time. The readme's own skill table lists only eight of the eleven — upstash-box-py, upstash-cli, and upstash-redis-start exist in the repository but are not mentioned in that table.

What each one expects. Eight of the 11 assume an Upstash account and API credentials are already available; one, the CLI skill, wants the upstash binary installed locally and is written to defer to Upstash's own MCP server when that is already registered in the session instead of duplicating its coverage; and one — upstash-redis-start — needs nothing, since the database it creates lives for three days on a public endpoint until someone claims it.
Licensed and kept in sync. The repository is MIT licensed, and its own build step keeps that split honest: editing one of the ten standalone skills and running npm run build regenerates the combined skill, and the project's CI fails a pull request that forgets to commit the regenerated output.
