The CLI itself is the bulk of what's here: after a global install (pnpm add -g @vercel/next-browser, plus playwright install chromium) it opens a real Chromium instance and lets an agent run one-shot commands against it — tree and snapshot for the component and accessibility trees, errors/logs/network for build, runtime, and request inspection, click/fill/eval to interact with the page, perf for Core Web Vitals and hydration timing, and ppr lock to freeze a Partial Prerendering shell for inspection, then resume it when you're done. A long-lived daemon keeps the browser open between commands, so an agent loop can fire them off without managing browser lifecycle itself.

None of that command set is documented as a skill in our database — the CLI's own README is the only place any of it is explained. The single live skill here, synthesize-transcript, does something different: it reads back an agent's transcript of using the next-browser CLI and proposes SKILL.md updates, feature requests, and bug fixes for the tool itself, aimed at vercel-labs's own maintainers rather than at someone debugging their Next.js app.

Who this is for. Developers already running an agent against a local Next.js dev server who want it to read real component state, network activity, and render performance instead of guessing from source code alone — the value here is entirely in the CLI's command set, not in anything our skill listing captures.

The CLI needs more than an npm install. Reaching the point where any of these commands work also requires playwright install chromium, a real browser download; our ready label describes the synthesize-transcript skill alone, not that dependency underneath the tool it's about.
