1ready to use

The skill's only job is deploying whatever app or site you're working on in Codex: it responds to requests like "deploy my app," "push this live," or "create a preview deployment" by running the deploy and handing back a preview URL plus a separate claimable link — the mechanism Vercel uses to let someone without a Vercel account see a live deployment and later claim it into an account of their own. The README lists exactly one command, /vercel-deploy, and exactly one skill; there is no CLI walkthrough, no login step, and no second skill anywhere in the package.

It's for a Codex user who wants a one-shot deploy without setting up Vercel credentials first — a quick preview link to hand to someone else, not a production release pipeline. Installation is a single skill-installer line naming the skill (vercel-deploy), and its dependency record is "ready": nothing else has to be installed or configured before it works.

READ THE FULL ANALYSIS

The README is two short sections and nothing else. Installation, prerequisites, a one-row command table, and a one-line skills list are the entire document — there's no mention of production deploys, custom domains, environment variables, or what happens to a deployment nobody claims. Vercel's own cursor-plugin repository ships a different /vercel-deploy command that instead walks through installing the Vercel CLI and authenticating before it deploys; this one is the no-account alternative to that flow, not a replacement for it.

Checked 20 September 2026 against the repository's README and its one live skill record; MIT-licensed, and we have not run the skill ourselves.

1Work with nothing else to set up.
