What it is

Ahrefs' hosted MCP server at api.ahrefs.com/mcp/mcp. It lets an AI tool read Ahrefs data from your own Ahrefs account. It is available on paid Ahrefs plans from Lite up.

Requirements

A paid Ahrefs plan, Lite or higher.
You approve access in your Ahrefs account, which creates a dedicated MCP key; you can also make an MCP key by hand.
Ahrefs supports it only inside AI tools such as Claude and Copilot, and does not permit custom scripts, bridges or standalone clients.
Every call uses API units from your monthly allowance, so admins can cap units per key.
If your AI tool limits how many tools a server may offer, connect with ?tools=essentials or name only the tool groups you need.
