Point at the problem instead of describing it.
Feedback reaches the agent with the exact element attached, so it edits the right code instead of hunting for 'the blue button in the sidebar'. In hands-free mode it works through each new note and resolves it as it goes.
What it is
The server half of Agentation, a visual feedback tool for web apps. You add its toolbar to your app, click elements in the browser and write notes. This server passes each note to your coding agent with the element's selector and position, so the agent can find the exact code. It runs on your own machine and only receives what a person annotates.
What you get
- Annotation sessions listed, and the notes in each one read
- All pending notes collected across pages, including layout requests such as placing or rearranging components
- Notes marked as seen, resolved with a summary, or dismissed with a reason
- Replies added to a note's thread, to ask a question or give an update
- A hands-free mode that waits for new notes and hands them to the agent in batches
Requirements
Node.js 20 or newer (24 LTS recommended), and the Agentation toolbar in your app pointed at the server's local address, http://localhost:4747. A desktop browser; mobile is not supported. No account or key is needed. The licence is PolyForm Shield 1.0.0: the source is available, but it is not an open-source licence.
Setup effort
One command — claude mcp add agentation -- npx -y agentation-mcp server
