Tasks, timers, Docs and Chat across your ClickUp workspace.

Its strength is sprint upkeep, with status changes across many tasks at once, hours logged as you go, and long comment threads cut down to your action items.

What it is

A remote MCP server ClickUp runs at mcp.clickup.com/mcp, available on every ClickUp plan and currently in public beta. Your assistant can only do what you have permission to do in ClickUp.

What you get

  • Your whole workspace searched: tasks, Lists, Folders and Docs
  • Tasks created and updated one at a time or in bulk, with assignees, due dates, priorities, tags and custom fields
  • Comments read, summarized and posted, including @mentions
  • Tasks linked, given dependencies, and moved between Lists
  • Timers started and stopped, time logged, and time spent added up per task or List
  • Lists and Folders created and renamed
  • Docs created, read and edited page by page
  • Messages posted to ClickUp Chat channels
  • How long tasks spend in each status

Requirements

  • A ClickUp Workspace and sign-in with OAuth; your own API keys or access tokens will not work.
  • In Team, Enterprise and Edu workspaces, only owners and admins can set up MCP servers.
  • Without the Everything AI add-on, use is capped at 50 calls per 24 hours on the Free Forever plan and 300 on Unlimited and above.
  • The cap runs on a rolling 24 hours and cannot be reset; the Everything AI add-on raises it to ClickUp's normal API limits.
  • ClickUp's own pages disagree on whether it can delete tasks, so check in ClickUp before you ask it to delete anything.
