ESLint itself, run by your assistant.
Lint fixes come from running ESLint itself rather than from the assistant guessing at the rules.
What it is
ESLint's own MCP server, published as @eslint/mcp. ESLint is the pluggable JavaScript linter; this server lets your assistant in VS Code with Copilot, Cursor or Windsurf run it directly.
What you get
- A file checked for linting errors
- The ESLint rules a file breaks, listed
- ESLint issues in a file fixed
Requirements
Node.js ^20.19.0, ^22.13.0 or >=24, and ESLint installed in your project or globally. It runs on your machine and needs no account or key. In VS Code it needs the Copilot Chat extension in agent mode, with the ESLint tools switched on. If nothing happens, check that ESLint is installed and read the server's output log in your editor.
Setup effort
One command — npx @eslint/mcp@latest
