Add and update Anki notes in batches, find cards with Anki's own search syntax, and suspend or unsuspend what you do not want to see.

Education, Tutoring & Study Tools
Summary
Cards written where the material is.

Making good cards is the slow part of spaced repetition. Here they are added in batches straight from whatever you were reading, into the deck and note type you already use.

What it is

A bridge to a running Anki through the AnkiConnect add-on. It reads the collection's decks and note models, adds or updates notes in batches, finds notes and cards with Anki's search syntax, suspends and unsuspends cards, and reports review counts by day.

What you get
  • The collection's decks, note models and their fields, read before anything is written
  • Notes added or updated in batches rather than one call each
  • Notes and cards found with Anki's own search syntax
  • Cards suspended and unsuspended by ID
  • Cards reviewed per day, for seeing whether the habit is holding
  • A bundled reference on Anki's search syntax, so queries can be written correctly
Requirements

Anki installed and running, with the AnkiConnect add-on installed — everything goes through it, so nothing works while Anki is closed. It runs with uvx.

Setup effort

One command — uvx anki-mcp
