Research on named companies, from S&P Global's own data.
Financial statements, earnings-call transcripts, deal advisors, estimates and credit ratings come straight from S&P Global's datasets, and the assistant you connect writes the answer. It is built for research on named companies.
What it is
A remote MCP server Kensho runs at kfinance.kensho.com/integrations/mcp that gives AI assistants plain-language access to S&P Global datasets, including S&P Capital IQ Financials, market data and earnings-call transcripts. It works with Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Amazon Quick Suite, Databricks and Mistral (beta). The data comes from S&P Global's Xpressfeed database; Kensho adds no AI model of its own, so the answers are written by the assistant you connect.
What you get
- Company profiles: status, industry, employee count, founding date and address
- Full financial statements and line items, for public and private companies
- Segment breakdowns by line of business and geography
- Competitors, business descriptions and business relationships between companies
- M&A deal history with targets, acquirers and advisors
- Earnings-call transcripts, as raw text or tagged by speaker
- Market prices, consensus estimates and company guidance
- Funding rounds with participants, advisors and valuations
- Credit rating history, current ratings and outlooks for issuers and securities
Requirements
- A Kensho LLM-ready API account: request access from its S&P Global Marketplace listing, then sign in through Kensho's Okta login with the credentials emailed to you when your trial or account starts.
- You can query only the S&P Global datasets your account is licensed for.
- In Claude, a team owner first adds the "S&P Global" connector for the organization; clients that cannot complete the automatic sign-in setup can ask support@kensho.com for a client ID.
- Name the company, its ticker or its CUSIP or ISIN security code in each question; for broad industry research, Kensho points to other S&P Global products.
- Kensho and S&P Global see only the data requests your assistant makes, not your questions.
