Planning docs into projects and standup notes into issue comments, in Linear.
Team leads can hand it routine Linear upkeep, and it can show the issues or comments it proposes before creating anything.
What it is
Linear's centrally hosted MCP server at mcp.linear.app/mcp. It gives an AI assistant access to your Linear workspace, with read and write access by default. A separate read-only address, mcp.linear.app/mcp/readonly, only ever offers read tools.
What you get
- Issues, projects and comments found across your workspace
- Issues and projects created, including sub-issues under a parent issue
- Issues updated and comments posted
Requirements
A Linear account; you sign in to your workspace with OAuth when you connect. You can instead pass a Linear API key, for example one with only Read permission. Each Linear workspace needs its own separate sign-in. If the agent should only look, connect the read-only address or approve only the read scope at sign-in.
Setup effort
Paste a URL, then authorize — add the endpoint to your client, then approve the OAuth consent screen
