Interactive terminal apps, driven and checked by an agent.
For anything that runs in a terminal, the agent can launch it, press keys, wait for a prompt and capture the screen to check it looks right.
What it is
An MCP server from the Hex1b project, a .NET library for building interactive terminal apps. It lets an AI assistant open terminal sessions, type into them, press keys and read what is on screen, the way a person would. The shells are real and run as your user; nothing is sandboxed.
What you get
- Bash terminal sessions started, listed, resized, stopped and removed
- Text and special keys sent: Enter, Tab, arrow keys, function keys
- The screen captured as plain text or as an SVG image
- A wait until specific text appears on screen
- Sessions recorded to asciinema files for playback
Requirements
