LABSCO SUMMARY
Catch up on, post in and manage RingCentral team chat.
Catching up on a channel, reading back an earlier discussion and posting an update all go through the assistant, acting in your name with the access your RingCentral account already has.
What it is
RingCentral's own server for RingEX Chat, its team messaging. Once connected, your AI assistant can work with your chats the way you would: list them, read their posts and post in them. RingCentral runs it, so you only add its address and sign in.
What you get
- Your team messaging chats listed, and their posts read
- Earlier posts in a chat read back, attachments included
- Messages posted in a chat
- New conversations created
- Posts edited or deleted
- Teams created, archived or deleted, and members added or removed
- Notes, tasks, events, cards and incoming webhooks created, changed or deleted
Requirements
- A RingCentral account with the API permissions team messaging needs; you sign in to RingCentral and authorize the connection.
- On Claude Team or Enterprise, an Owner adds it for the organization first, then each member connects.
- In ChatGPT, posting needs full Developer Mode; with read-only Developer Mode you can read chats but not post.
- Enter the address without a trailing slash.
- It can delete posts, teams, cards and webhooks in your name, so check what it is about to remove before you approve it.
