A journal is the most sensitive text most people own, and the thing you want from an assistant is recall, not authorship. A connector that cannot write means the worst case is a bad summary rather than a corrupted record. Their encryption claims apply to the stored journal rather than to what leaves through this connection, so the real question stays the ordinary one: your entries reach whichever AI provider you connect, under that provider's terms. That is a judgment about the provider, and it is worth making deliberately for this of all datasets.
