Running the installer against Claude Desktop, Cursor, or both together removes the step where people mistype a JSON path and give up — and the manual snippets are there when you want to see exactly what was written. Worth remembering after an update: uvx serves from its cache, so clear it or pin the latest tag rather than assuming you picked up a new release.

What it is

The MCP server from VideoDB's agent toolkit. It runs through uvx with your VideoDB API key on the command line, and installs itself into the common clients rather than making you hand-edit config files.

Requirements

Uv installed, and a VideoDB API key passed as a command-line argument. Nothing to clone or build. Because uvx caches packages, clear the cache or pin the latest tag when you want to be sure you are running the current server.
