clickhouse-js-node-coding

Local tool required★ 482 on GitHub

Writes the server-side JavaScript that an application uses to talk to a ClickHouse database — the connection, the data going in, and the results coming back.

WHEN TO USE

SCOPE

USE FOR

  • Write the connection code that points at your ClickHouse server, with the right address, format, and settings.
  • Insert rows into ClickHouse from a Node.js service, one JSON object per row.
  • Pass a user-supplied value into a query without leaving a SQL injection hole.
  • Choose between insert, query, command, and exec for a given statement.
  • Check which version of the client or the server a particular feature needs.

NOT FOR

  • Debug connection errors, socket hang-ups, or type mismatches — use clickhouse-js-node-troubleshooting instead.
  • Write client code for browsers, Web Workers, or Next.js Edge runtime — those need @clickhouse/client-web.
  • Stream large files or tune async-insert throughput — the client's own performance examples cover that.
