firecrawl-interact

Some pages give up nothing until someone clicks. This one works the page the way a person would — logging in, filling in a form, moving to the next page — until what you wanted is on screen.

WHEN TO USE

SCOPE

USE FOR

Click through a login form to reach content behind it.
Fill in and submit a form on a page you have already opened.
Page through search results or infinite scroll to see everything.
Stay logged in to a site across several visits, using a saved profile.

NOT FOR

Searching the web when you don't have a page yet — that's search's job, not interact's.

This is a saved copy of the skill's SKILL.md instructions. It may differ from the upstream file or the version you install.

firecrawl interact

Interact with scraped pages in a live browser session. Scrape a page first, then use natural language prompts or code to click, fill forms, navigate, and extract data. For web searches, use search — interact is for acting on a specific page.

Quick start

# 1. Scrape a page (scrape ID is saved automatically)
firecrawl scrape "<url>"

# 2. Interact with the page using a positional prompt
firecrawl interact "Click the login button"
firecrawl interact "Fill in the email field with test@example.com"
firecrawl interact "Extract the pricing table"

# A UUID first argument is auto-detected as the scrape ID
firecrawl interact "<scrape-id>" "Extract the pricing table"

# 3. Or use code for precise control
firecrawl interact --code "agent-browser click @e5" --bash
firecrawl interact --code "agent-browser snapshot -i" --bash

# 4. Stop the session when done
firecrawl interact stop

Run firecrawl interact --help for the full option list.

Done when: the requested content or action result is captured and the session is stopped with firecrawl interact stop.

Profiles

Use --profile on the scrape to persist browser state (cookies, localStorage) across scrapes:

# Session 1: Login and save state
firecrawl scrape "https://app.example.com/login" --profile my-app
firecrawl interact --prompt "Fill in email with user@example.com and click login"

# Session 2: Come back authenticated
firecrawl scrape "https://app.example.com/dashboard" --profile my-app
firecrawl interact --prompt "Extract the dashboard data"

Read-only reconnect (no writes to profile state):

firecrawl scrape "https://app.example.com" --profile my-app --no-save-changes

Tips

Always scrape first — interact requires a scrape ID from a previous firecrawl scrape call
The scrape ID is saved automatically, so you can omit --scrape-id for subsequent interact calls. Saved sessions may expire after about 10 minutes; re-scrape if the CLI warns that the session is stale
Use firecrawl interact stop to free resources when done
For parallel work, scrape multiple pages and interact with each using --scrape-id

Check selected tools if a picker appears; Claude Code may be unchecked under Additional agents. ↑/↓ moves, Space toggles selections, Enter confirms.
Without a tool picker, check Installing to: for your intended tool. Stop if it names a different tool.
If asked, choose Symlink (Recommended) for shared files or Copy to all agents for separate copies; review the summary before confirming installation.
Install the find-skills skill? defaults to Yes, adding another skill for all projects. Choose No if you don't want that extra installation.

Skills CLI 1.7.2 sends install data to skills.sh by default, including the source, skill names, target tools and file details; GitHub sources are reported only when GitHub confirms the repository is public, while other remote sources can also be reported. Confirmed-public GitHub sources also trigger a security-audit request. Before installing, set the environment variable DO_NOT_TRACK=1 or DISABLE_TELEMETRY=1 to disable both.

npx skills add firecrawl/cli --skill firecrawl-interact firecrawl-agent firecrawl-alexandria firecrawl-crawl firecrawl-developer-index firecrawl-download firecrawl-map firecrawl-research-index firecrawl-scrape firecrawl-search --full-depth

It installs 10 skills: this one and the 9 it relies on, listed below. Once these skills are installed where Claude Code loads them, their descriptions help Claude decide when to use them.
