Checks whether the fallback value written into your code for a LaunchDarkly flag still matches the flag's default rule in LaunchDarkly, and fixes the code when it doesn't. The fallback is what users get when LaunchDarkly can't be reached, so drift means an outage serves something different.

WHEN YOUR AGENT SHOULD USE IT

A QUICK BOUNDARY

USE FOR

  • Find out whether a flag's in-code fallback still matches LaunchDarkly after its default rule changed.
  • Update every place the flag is evaluated to the expected value, in one pull request.
  • Spot environments that serve different defaults, such as EU production and a federal environment.
  • Get a short summary: environments checked, old and new values, files changed.

DO NOT USE FOR

  • Removing a flag from the code: LaunchDarkly's flag cleanup skill does that.
  • Changing the default rule in LaunchDarkly itself: that is the flag targeting skill's job.
  • Flags whose default rule is a percentage rollout: there is no single value to match, so it reports the split and asks you.
