should-flag-change

Reads a code change, or a pull request diff in CI, and tells you whether it should ship behind a LaunchDarkly feature flag, with reasons that point to specific files. It is advice only: it never creates or changes flags or code.

WHEN YOUR AGENT SHOULD USE IT

A QUICK BOUNDARY

USE FOR

  • Ask 'should this be behind a flag?' about work in progress.
  • Run it on each pull request in CI and post the verdict as a check.
  • Find a flag that already covers the change, so you reuse it instead of adding another.
  • Follow your repository's own flagging rules where it documents them.

DO NOT USE FOR

  • Creating the flag: once the answer is yes, hand over to LaunchDarkly's flag create skill.
  • Blocking merges: the result is a recommendation, not a required check.
