Writing rules your assistant follows when it builds a data-exploration notebook or an analytics dashboard: which sections to include, which chart answers which question, how to handle data too big to plot whole, and how to test a dashboard's speed.

WHEN TO USE

SCOPE

USE FOR

  • Lay out an exploratory notebook in a set order, with a reading written under each chart.
  • Pick each chart from what you want to learn, and sample or bin data too dense to plot.
  • Check a dashboard's features, data and response times against stated limits.
  • Use colourblind-safe colours and never let colour carry a difference alone.

NOT FOR

  • Defining what each data column means: the data-catalog skill does that.
