Measures one slow interaction in your React app instead of guessing: React Doctor records it in a separate Chrome window while you click through it, and the skill ties the slow moments to the components that rendered. It reports a verdict, the measurements and the smallest fix, and changes code only if you ask. It runs only when you type /performance. React Doctor sends crash reports and anonymous usage counts unless you add --no-telemetry.

When to use

SCOPE

USE FOR

  • Find out why one click or keystroke feels slow.
  • See which components re-render during an interaction, and how long each takes.
  • Check how long the page took to show its main content, and whether the layout jumped.
  • Measure a page you need to be signed in for, using a separate debug Chrome profile.
  • Compare three runs before and after a fix to confirm it helped.

NOT FOR

  • Reviewing code without running the app: it needs a page to open and an interaction to record.
  • A general scan of the code: the react-doctor skill does that.
  • Training or testing AI models on React Doctor, or selling it as a hosted service, without written permission: its licence is a modified MIT licence that requires that permission from Million Software.
