monitor-ci

Local tool required★ 25 on GitHub

When the automated checks fail after a push, someone has to decide whether the fix on offer is worth applying; this makes that call, tries it, and keeps going until the run is green or it runs out of attempts.

WHEN TO USE

SCOPE

USE FOR

  • Watch a pull request's CI run instead of polling it by hand, and get told when it needs attention.
  • Apply, verify, or reject a self-healing fix that Nx Cloud found for a failing CI task.
  • Retry a CI run that failed for an environment reason, like an out-of-memory error, rather than a code bug.
  • Stop monitoring automatically after a set number of fix attempts or a time limit, so it can't loop forever.

NOT FOR

  • Cancelling the CI run this is monitoring, which throws away progress already made.
  • Polling CI status with a provider CLI's watch flag instead, which bypasses self-healing entirely.
  • Writing a custom polling script in place of this, which loses self-healing and wastes context.
