Fine-tunes and evaluates OpenVLA-OFT, a version of the OpenVLA robot model that predicts smooth, continuous arm movements instead of picking from fixed steps. It follows the paper's own recipes for the LIBERO simulator and the two-armed ALOHA robot, including the settings that must match between training and use.

WHEN TO USE

SCOPE

USE FOR

  • Reproduce the paper's LIBERO results from the published checkpoints.
  • Fine-tune on LIBERO data across 8 GPUs with the paper's default settings.
  • Train the OFT+ variant for a two-armed ALOHA robot with three cameras.
  • Run the model as a server on a GPU machine that the robot calls over the network.
  • Find out why success rates dropped, starting with settings that differ between training and evaluation.

NOT FOR

  • pi0 or pi0.5 models: the fine-tuning-serving-openpi skill.
  • NVIDIA's Cosmos Policy: the evaluating-cosmos-policy skill.
  • General language-model fine-tuning without robot action heads.
