The program that actually runs an AI chat model on hardware people already own, with no Nvidia graphics card required and no stack of other software to install underneath it.

WHEN TO USE

SCOPE

USE FOR

  • Run a chat model locally on a laptop with no NVIDIA GPU or Docker involved.
  • Serve an OpenAI-compatible chat API from a Raspberry Pi or other CPU-only device.
  • Shrink a 7B model to a few gigabytes so it fits in limited memory.
  • Force a model's output into valid JSON using a grammar file instead of prompting for it.

NOT FOR

  • Running production inference at scale on NVIDIA datacenter GPUs — TensorRT-LLM gets far higher throughput there.
  • Wanting a Python-first serving API with continuous batching — that's vLLM's strength, not this.
