An assistant working a long job loses track of its own plan as it goes; this keeps the plan, what it has found and what it has already tried in ordinary files on disk, and makes it read them back before it decides anything.

WHEN TO USE

SCOPE

USE FOR

  • Keep a long research or build job on track when it runs for hundreds of steps.
  • Pick a job back up after the assistant has lost track of what it was doing.
  • Log every error encountered so the same failed approach isn't repeated.
  • Run two related tasks in parallel with separate plan files that don't collide.

NOT FOR

  • Simple questions that don't need a multi-step plan.
  • Quick lookups or single-file edits.
