Turns on Next.js's Cache Components in an app that was not built for it, then works through the routes that break, one at a time, until the app builds again and still renders correctly in a browser.

WHEN TO USE

SCOPE

USE FOR

  • Turn on Cache Components across an app and walk every route to a passing build.
  • Decide between opting every route out first or fixing routes as you go.
  • Fix a shared layout whose sync-IO call blocks every route beneath it.
  • Find which Suspense boundary keeps meaningful content out of a route's static shell.
  • Migrate routes that previously required static rendering during the codemod pass.
  • Verify a Cache Components fix actually renders correctly, not just that it builds.

NOT FOR

  • Migrating a Pages Router app to the App Router first — that's a separate project entirely.
  • Growing an already-passing route's static shell further — that's next-cache-components-optimizer.
