Notion's own claude-code-notion-plugin connects Claude Code to Notion's hosted MCP server and adds ten slash commands; the repository's four Notion skills are installed separately, and none of it does anything until your Notion account is connected.
The four skills are broad, multi-step workflows rather than narrow single-purpose commands: notion-knowledge-capture turns a conversation into a written-up page in a wiki or database; notion-meeting-intelligence gathers context from your workspace and drafts both an internal pre-read and an external agenda; notion-research-documentation searches across the workspace and writes up a cited report from what it finds; and notion-spec-to-implementation turns a spec page into a breakdown of implementation tasks. All four read and write real pages in your Notion workspace rather than working on local files.
This is for people who already keep specs, meeting notes, and research in Notion and want Claude Code to read and write there directly. The plugin installs Notion's hosted MCP server at mcp.notion.com/mcp and ten slash commands for one-off actions like search or creating a database row. The four skills are not part of that install and are added separately. None of it works until you connect a Notion account through the MCP server's OAuth flow.

One dependency, no fallback. All four skills work only through Notion's MCP connection; there is no local or standalone path through any of them. If the MCP connection to Notion is unauthenticated or unreachable, none of the four have anything to do.
