LABSCO SUMMARY
Canva designs generated, edited and exported without opening the editor.
From a short description to a finished file, it generates options to pick from, edits text and images, places a logo from a link, and exports the design as a PDF.
What it is
A remote MCP server Canva runs at mcp.canva.com/mcp. Each person signs in to their own Canva account, and the agent can only do what that account can do. Uploads and new designs are saved to that account.
What you get
- New designs generated from a prompt, with several options to choose from
- Your designs, folders and assets searched, and a design's pages, text and presenter notes read
- Text and images in a design changed
- Designs exported, for example as PDF, copied, merged, imported from a link, or moved into folders
- Comments added to a design and replies posted
- Images uploaded from a public link and placed into a design
- On Canva Pro and above: designs resized, brand templates filled in automatically, and brand kits used
Requirements
- A Canva account for every person who uses it.
- The AI app you connect from must be registered with Canva; many popular AI tools already are and work out of the box.
- Teams building their own app apply through Canva's waitlist form, since self-service setup in the Developer Portal is not yet open.
- Edits stay as a draft until they are saved, so tell the agent to save before you rely on them.
- Free plans export at standard quality, and designs with premium elements may refuse to export.
