Reads through your project before any move to Azure and marks each part of it pass, warning or fail on three questions: will it build, is it finished, and can Azure actually run it.

WHEN TO USE

SCOPE

USE FOR

  • Find out whether your existing code is ready for Azure before anyone plans infrastructure.
  • Spot code that relies on Amazon or Google cloud services and has to be swapped out first.
  • Check a project that is never installed, built or tested; only code the skill wrote or changed runs, if you OK it.
  • Fix the failing items it finds, with your say-so before any of your code is changed.
  • Keep a written readiness report you can come back to later.

NOT FOR

  • Checking infrastructure files that are already written; that is azure-validate.
  • Generating the infrastructure files themselves; that is azure-prepare.
  • Going all the way from an idea to a running app; that is azure-app-onboard.
  • Running the actual deployment; that is azure-deploy.
