Microsoft’s plugin marketplace helps coding agents build Power Platform apps, websites and flows, and investigate Process Mining data.
Power Platform Skills is Microsoft’s marketplace for development plugins used in Claude Code and GitHub Copilot CLI. Choose the plugins for the work you do: building Power Apps and Power Pages sites, connecting business data, developing native controls, automating workflows or analyzing processes. Each plugin supplies guidance for its own development workflow, with specialist agents and MCP connections where needed.
The agent can select relevant skills from your request, and you can invoke user-facing skills directly. Planning and building skills delegate work to specialist agents; internal helpers handle narrower tasks within those workflows. Bundled hooks run on their configured events when the owning plugin is enabled.
Create a Power Pages site, connect it to Dataverse and add authentication or cloud-flow integration. For an existing downloaded non-SPA site, use the editing workflow to coordinate changes to pages, navigation, content and styling.
Describe the business process and use App Builder to plan and author tables, forms, views and navigation. Use GenPage independently when an existing model-driven app needs a custom generative page.
Connect an app open in Power Apps Studio, then ask the agent to build screens or change controls, formulas and layouts. New data connections are added through Studio, with the plugin guiding and checking that handoff.
Build a React and Vite Power Apps code app and add connectors for services such as Excel, Outlook, Teams or Azure DevOps. The connector skills help implement the service access the app needs.
Create an Expo and React Native Power Apps mobile app with native device features. For offline work, design the Dataverse download scope and sync settings, then assign the offline profile to the users or teams who need it.
Plan a third-party native control, generate Android and iOS sources and its dispatcher PCF, then build and audit the .ppmplugin bundle. Native compilation and device testing remain separate parts of that workflow.
Use Power Automate skills to build a cloud flow from a description or work through an interactive creation flow. For failures, inspect run evidence and use focused debugging or deeper diagnosis.
Use Process Intelligence to examine bottlenecks, variants, rework and differences between matched cohorts. Driver analysis supports explanatory hypotheses; correlations do not establish causes.
Generate a JavaScript tool runtime and its registration metadata, then create a single-file interactive widget for its results. Widget generation supports an embedded runtime or explicitly approved public CDN imports.
Skills coordinate the development workflows and call specialist agents or internal helpers where their instructions require them. The MCP servers provide the connected tools those workflows use.
Hooks load with their enabled plugin. In Claude Code, use the hook browser to inspect registered handlers; disable the owning plugin from the plugin manager’s Installed tab and apply any pending reload. For Copilot’s Canvas reminder, start a new session after configuration changes and inspect loaded hooks in its environment view.

Install the plugins you need as complete packages. Power Pages, Model Apps, PCF, Mobile Apps, Power Apps Mobile Extension and Power Automate include telemetry that transmits by default and can include organization or tenant identifiers; some also include a signed-in user identifier. Transmission opt-out retains local diagnostic logs. Review the telemetry controls and field lists before use.

This route installs the Canvas Apps plugin through VS Code’s Customization Marketplace (Preview).
In VS Code’s Command Palette, select Chat: Open Customizations to open the Agent Customizations editor.
Select Browse in the Customization Marketplace (Preview) and search for Canvas Apps.
If Canvas Apps is not listed, open the source menu and select Configure Marketplaces, then Add Marketplace. Enter the GitHub repository microsoft/power-platform-skills. Return to Browse and select the added marketplace from the source menu.
Select Canvas Apps published by Microsoft, review its details and select Install. If a trust prompt appears for the marketplace, review its source before confirming.
In the Agent Customizations editor, select Plugins and confirm that Canvas Apps is listed and enabled for the intended harness and workspace.
Start a fresh Chat session in Agent mode and confirm that the canvas-app and configure-canvas-mcp skills are available.
To connect an app afterward, you need .NET 10 SDK or later and an organizational account allowed to edit it. Create and save the app in Power Apps Studio, enable coauthoring and keep the browser tab open. Follow the Canvas connection steps when you are ready to work on it.
